Vaya Seefeld

I escalated this to reception on arrival. We were told you had no space to accommodate this. We did confirm through your hotel email address at Christmas 2022, and this was confirmed by a reply email that all superior rooms have a bath facility as advertised. Ours did not. 2. The balcony did not have any outdoor furniture to enjoy the view and a drink after skiing. As advertised. We escalated this to reception and this was rectified. 3. The room did not have the facility of a SAFE. As advertised. We escalated this to reception and were told that you were three safes down in numbers. A safe did appear 21.02.23, but was sealed and locked and could not be used. 4. The room does not accommodate WIFI. As advertised, due to the distance from the router and the barrier of the fire doors. We can only access WIFI from reception and this was reported to reception. 5. On day 1 in the AM, I reported to reception that the light coming into the room was so intense that I could not sleep, and I asked that it be rectified by my return from skiing that PM. We did report this as soon as we arrived on the 19.02.2023. On return from skiing that afternoon, nothing was rectified and the thin curtains remained. We again escalated that we did not have suitable curtains in the room. We were told there no curtains were available. I will add that the children’s play kindergarten looks directly into our room. And potentially those children would see two grown men naked dressing. I believe this is the second booking of this new room facility, and that the previous guests had to have black out plastic installed to the glass to rectify the issue. Therefore you were aware of this issue and continued to sell the facility as complete, as per your advertised site. 6. The room did not have a telephone as advertised by your site and does not have a phone plug. We did report this to reception. In an emergency this is essential. 7. Also there was no mini bar as advertised. We did report this to reception. 8. Finally we were seen by David, the duty engineer who bought us curtains from an empty room, to which I myself scaled a ladder to install. David out of all the staff employed at this facility in reception, was courteous, had customer service values, and achieved what would have been a simple resolve to our curtain issues. It is clear to us that these issues have been discussed at a local level, as they may not have escalated to you. 9. In total we visited reception 6 times to escalate all of the above issues. 10. In all this has not been a pleasant stay. And quite stressful. I have not been listened to. All of these issues could have been resolved. Easily. 11. Three days later on checking out, the reception staff asked if we received our 20% VAYA coupon for any future bookings. We said no, and they looked very surprised. They said, what you haven’t been contacted. Response, No. 12. Then the manager finally appeared. We questioned him if he had received the email or actioned the con

This is not a 4 star hotel, more like a 1 star. it is tired, worn out and very dated. Rooms require total refurbishment, bedding was like something the dog would sleep in, no protectors on pillow or duvet. Restaurant chaotic, and like a crèche and children running wild , poor quality food not a fan of dogs sleeping in bedroom or public areas,only positive was staff were pleasant and friendly however agree with previous comments regarding their untidy appearance. Value for money zero.

Sad! Been to this family run hotel on 10 winter occasions . I knew it was being taken over by VAYA but I was not concerned. Change has to be embraced! I arrived last Wednesday, knowing there would be changes but hoped for the best. Alas I found not ONE good change. I am not going to list my grievances or grumbles, but the speedy result was my desire to change hotels; I checked out with my three teenage girls the following morning. Before leaving the director asked to speak with me, and he listened well and concurred. He said he had only been in post for 2 weeks! I wonder how true that was. So in other words, possibly easy to not take responsibility? The good points that remain.. ..Marko at the front desk, And Yasmin who cleans the room; I was pleased to see her again, as I remembered she was the most diligent worker. we had one meal in the restaurant before out departure, and Pedro the new waiter was adorable. The new Marco in the bar was very willing, and energetic, but seemed to be pulled in many directions. Apparently VAYA are renovating in April, and I sincerely hope this goes well, and that guest complaints are considered. And finally, please try to decide if you want to be an adult only hotel!

This was our first trip to Austria and Vaya Seefeld was the perfect base for our adventures. We had a spacious, clean family room with balcony which was perfect for 2 adults, a teen and a 12 year old. We loved the pool and solarium/garden and went there every day. We also loved relaxing in the hotel bar in the evenings. The hotel is perfectly situated, with the town just a few minutes walk away, and all transport links you could need are literally on the doorstep. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, everything well made and delicious, with plenty of options for adults and kids. The breakfast buffet in particular was a hit for our children! The adults enjoyed the afternoon coffee and cakes. Vaya was the perfect hotel for our trip - it was cosy, comfortable and well equipped, with great staff and lovely food. The perfect location too - great for getting to know Seefeld and for travelling further afield. We'd love to come back for another stay!

the staff was very friendly and helpful and we extended twice. we changed rooms once but though they were very different styles they both were very nice. the afternoon snacks and drinks were nice. the pool was great but a bit noisy. the breakfast was lovely and the dinner was excellent.

As a family of four, we spent a week at the Vaya Seefeld (formerly Hotel Activ Veronika) on a half board basis. We liked: The family room. We had room 309 with the adjoining kids bunk bed room. It was a good size with a small balcony with a great view. Bunk bed room could be closed off to give parents some privacy in the evenings. The pool/sauna. Very clean and well maintained. Pool perfect temperature. Adjacent to small communal garden with sun loungers. Pool perfect for kids at end of long days of exploring. The staff. All very friendly and helpful. Our waiter was a real character but looked after us very well. The location. Seefeld is well placed to explore the wider Tirol area, being only 45 minutes in the car to popular destinations such as Stubai Glacier or Imst Hoch alpine coaster. Equally there are hikes, bike rides and gondola rides all located within the town. Rosshutte is worth a trip. The food. For the most part (Mediterranean evening being the exception) the hotel delivered on an excellent choice of food. Breakfasts offered the choice of cereal, fruits, cheeses, ham, all manner of breads and buns, croissants, as well as eggs and bacon. Dinners were a la carte most evenings, offering several courses of typical local dishes plus some others. However if you’re vegetarian or vegan you’ll find your options pretty limited from what we could see. What we didn’t like: Smokers. Appreciate this may be a decisive comment. But many of the other guests smoked and this was allowed on the room balconies. As balconies are all close together we found that smoke would often drift in through our room windows. A more progressive policy would be to limit smoking to designated areas outside. Dogs. I like dogs. But we didn’t realise this was a dog friendly hotel and a fair percentage of the guests had their furry friends with them. At breakfast. And dinner. I found this a bit odd to be honest. Although to fair the hotel was always kept very clean and the dogs were all very well behaved. But beware about staying here if you have any dog allergies, or are put off by thought of dogs lying close to your table whilst you dine. The en-suite bathroom. Was tiny and the room had a sloped ceiling so shower was only about 5 feet high. Also there was some black mould around the seals and the water pressure was poor. Needs sprucing up a little. At 6 ft 2 I ended up showering in the pool area every day. Overall a lovely hotel with hardworking, friendly and professional staff. If you don’t mind dogs and tobacco smoke then this is a five star location.
